Ashes and sparks, my words from mankind !
Be through my lips to unawaken’d earth
The trumphet of a prophecy ! O Wind,
If winter comes, can spring be far behind ?

Match’d with an aged wife, I mete and dole
Unequal laws unto a savage race,
That hoard, and sleep, and feed, and know not me.
